Fawz’s stay is a peaceful escape, in the heart of a tea estate, with complete privacy. Though the rest of Wayanad was already feeling the heat of early summer, the moment we entered the property, the temperature noticeably dropped—likely due to its elevation. The house itself remains naturally cool throughout the day. Night was pleasantly cool, and the morning was misty, it was nice to walk through the estate. Fawz was an exceptional host—attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help. The property is well-maintained and spotlessly clean, with a friendly and accommodating staff. A special mention to Sarojini Chechi’s delicious meals! My only regret is having just a single-day break—next time, I’ll be coming for at least 3-4 days for sure! Highly recommend
A great place to stay! Quiet and secluded from traffic with jungle sounds and the waterfall creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The meals prepared there were really great and made with a lot of care. Communication with the host was easy and it was overall a really nice stay
There is nothing that you can go wrong with Fawz's. it will be easier to reach the house in daylight but once you reach its bliss. it's amazing property just 2 hours away from the airport. Fawz was in touch throughout the stay and was great help when we had problem with our car rental. He readily arranged mechanic and taxi at last moment
It's one of the best Airbnb I've been to. Fawz helped us during check-in as well as during the stay. Fatima, the person who takes care of the house was very nice to us, and also with our driver. The house is cozy, with several relaxation areas, and located in an incredible place. Also, the waterfall it has is wonderful. I definitely recommend it 100%
Although I did not get to meet Fawz in person , he is one of the most responsive and proactive Airbnb communicators I have encountered in past many years. He gave clear road directions including videos how to reach. Once you reach the ‘Uphill Road’, the road starts getting narrower but the fun part is when you take left turn and travel through tea gardens where road is just enough for a car. Those with low clearance sedans have to be careful. Fawz’s property is amazing and the constant sound of waterfall (50 steps from house) is soothing. Fathima the caretaker was helpful. Sarojini aunty cooks homely food lovingly and at very reasonable rates (don’t miss her appam & stew). We could not communicate in Malayalam but Google translator came to rescue. The kitchen is well equipped including plates etc. Fawz kept on checking on us time to time and gave some amazing recommendations on food joints in Wayanad and also in Kozhikode. We wished we had stayed longer. Honestly, if you're thinking of booking in the area, you will not regret staying here. It's the perfect place to have a break and take time away from the cities. Fawz is a very friendly and proactive host and couldn't have been more helpful, even advising us on our onward travel and arranging a tuk tuk. The caretaker and neighbour (who cooks DELICIOUS food) are also very welcoming, despite not speaking English, they made us feel at home. The apartment itself is a large ground floor with plenty of storage room and room to chill out. The bed is very comfortable and we slept well each day. The bathroom is big and has a great shower, especially considering how remote the place is! The best part of this property though is the outside space. There's so many plants and trees, flowers and spaces/chairs to relax. What can I say about the waterfall? We'll probably never experience our own private waterfall again. It's really magical. We had an amazing stay at this property, truly surrounded by nature. Waking up to the gentle calls of birds each morning was a serene experience. The private waterfall was breathtaking, with its soothing sound providing a calming backdrop throughout the day. The beautiful garden, complete with swings, offered a perfect spot to relax and enjoy our surroundings. As for the food—wow! Every meal was delicious and added to the overall experience. Our host was incredibly proactive, checking in to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to unwind in a stunning natural setting. We can't wait to return!
Fawz is a great host. He was always communicative before, during and after the stay. He feels like a friend and will help you at every step. The location is great, and the home is lovely and peaceful. It's a perfect weekend getaway to relax. You will keep on hearing the waterfall sound the whole day which is a plus if you are into nature. The waterfall is another highlight and we loved to relax there. This house has very well-thought-out amenities and furnishings. Just a small downside is food as its a bit remote, but quite manageable. Would love to visit again :)
This property is without the doubt one of the best property I have stayed in so far. The place was very well maintained, clean and with beautiful surrounding. Ans the waterfall.......it was just heaven.
